We couldn’t be more excited to announce Jeffry Mitchell as our first Resident Artist. Jeffry is a prolific, diversely talented artist whose generous, compassionate spirit has made him truly beloved in the arts community. . “Folk and decorative arts traditions have been a consistent source of inspiration for me; Japanese , Korean , English and German influences are easy to spot in my work. I know that North Carolina's pottery tradition is exceptionally rich and reaches back centuries. I'm hoping to tune into that tradition, an American vernacular. I also can't wait to work alongside Kyle, an exceptionally talented young potter and a kind and lovely human being. I'm working toward a show in LA in October at South Willard Gallery.”
